Ennerdale Horseshoe Fell Race

It’s my goal this year to complete all the Lakeland Classic Fell Races. Last weekend was the first of the big races and this weekend, it got bigger! Ennerdale is a true horseshoe layout traversing major peaks in the Western Lake District. It’s notorious for its rough terrain and covers 23miles and almost 8,000ft ascent. Treasure Hunt

The club’s ever-popular annual Treasure Hunt saw members racing around Westhoughton and Aspull in search of answers to a series of clues devised by club member Mark Smith. The event combined running, navigation and problem-solving, with participants covering between four and seven miles in pursuit of valuable points.    With warm sunshine and overgrown Treasure Hunt

Meanwhile, Andy Kerks continued his excellent form by recording a personal best of 1:41:14 in the half marathon.

Astley Park Trail Series – Race 2

Race report by Gareth: A staggering turnout of 27, out of a field of 115 (and it would have been 28 if I counted Deb but I can’t as apparently, she’s not a member lol) Lostockers descended on Astley Park for the second of the 3-race series over the very seldom raced distance of 3.73 Astley Park Trail Series – Race 2

Ironman Night Run

Race report by Jo: Before I start, apologies if I’ve missed anyone, the Night Run results have to be searched individually, which makes it a very time‑consuming job. Friday evening’s Ironman Night Run was the second race in three days for most, and for Gaz Del Pacho it was unbelievably his third consecutive race. Around Ironman Night Run

Joining Lostock AC has been one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I decided to give it a try mainly to loose weight and meet new people. It's really helped with my weight, mental health and output on life. I've been in the club over a year now. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and I love being part of the Lostock family. My running has definitely improved, especially seeing all the medals I've won. It is not just running, Lostock offers other activities too such as cycling, bootcamp and skiing. All I've had a go at which has just been brilliant. Lostock is my second family . I have entered the Machester marathon next year and an ultra. All this for someone who couldn't run . Everyone has made me feel very welcome in the club, I now consider myself to be a runner and would recommend anyone to give Lostock a try.

I joined Lostock AC to help improve my running and to motivate me to run more often. The club has surpassed my expectations. I am not from Bolton originally and did not have many friends in the area. I now feel part of an extended family. I have been encouraged and supported to run half marathons, marathons and an Ultra. I would never believe this was possible 3 years ago.
