Race report by Jon:
Had a fantastic weekend of bikejor racing at Thetford Forest at the 4 Paw Challenge. The format was 4 races over 3 days – Friday night (3.6k), Saturday morning (same 3.6k), Saturday night (2.2k) and Sunday morning (the 3.6k in reverse).
Remarkably, the course organisers managed to find the only hill in Thetford Forest, which meant blazingly fast descents and grinding climbs. Given that some of those descents were done in the dark, it made for exhilarating racing.
Huxley loved it and ran really well all weekend, only fading a little on leg 4 as fatigue started to kick in. I know how he felt. I’m under no illusions. As a 62 year old on beta blockers, I’m never going to be at the front, but I am gradually getting stronger and closer.
These full race weekends are as much about the social as they are about the racing and this event had a superb atmosphere.
Overall, as our final race preparation before the big Poland trip, this probably couldn’t have gone much better.
PS. Whilst at this event, I bought some spare bikejoring gear. If anyone has a dog and a bike and is curious about bikejor, I can set you up for a 1 to 1 taster session.

Race report by Antony: I did the Lancaster Half Marathon today! I got a new 1 minute 3 seconds PB (1 hour 37 minute 24 seconds) beating my Manchester Half time from last year. It’s an out and back course very fast and flat along the river Lune. Definitely one try if you want a ... Lancaster Half Marathon
