Leo Pollard Duathlon

Lostock AC members excelled at the annual Leo Pollard Duathlon. The duathlon is for Lostock AC members, family and friends. It is a friendly competition and both beginners and seasoned professionals can take part. Participants can complete the duathlon solo or be part of a relay. Dr Ron Hill Hyde 7 Miles

Mike completed the Dr Ron Hyde 7 Mile Road Race in Hyde. The race takes runners in and around the city of Hyde. Mike had a great race and finished in 1:00:59.

Walsh Two Lads Fell Race

Andy, Sally, Nikki and Mary took part in the Walsh Two Lads Fell Race. The race commences at the Bridge Inn on Church Street, Horwich and as the name suggests, ascends through Rivington and over Two Lads, before returning to the pub. Race the Train

Chris and Rachel H headed to Bury to compete in the Madbull Race the Train event. This is tough multi terrain race, taking in trails, roads, running tracks, fields and steps! The race covers 10 miles starting at Bury Train station,to the whistle of the train. As the train departs the station runners set off Race the Train

Haigh Hall 4mile Trail Race

The Lostock AC club championships are in full swing this week with another midweek race. The road runners competed in the Haigh Hall 4 mile Trail race organised by Wigan Pheonix. Coniston 16k Trail Challenge

Seven Lostockers headed to Coniston in the Lakes to compete in the Lakeland Trails 16k challenge. This is a beautiful run starting at Coniston Sports and Social club. Astley Park race 2 of 3

Lostockers headed to Chorley for the second instalment of the Astley Park Race. This is the third race in the road/trail midweek champs. There were some fantastic results, Paul Edwards had an amazing run, covering the 3.7 miles in 24:15. He was closely followed by Dave Parry in 26:52 and Greg Kilshaw was the third Astley Park race 2 of 3

Josie’s Busy weekend

Fell Captain Josie had a busy weekend of racing. On Saturday she completed the Three Shires Fell Race. Lostock AC members headed to Bury to compete in the Bury 10k for the latest instalment of the Road Runners Championship. 7 Lostockers lined up with over 1,000 runners in the rain to complete the 10k route. Joining Lostock AC has been one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I decided to give it a try mainly to loose weight and meet new people. It's really helped with my weight, mental health and output on life. I've been in the club over a year now. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and I love being part of the Lostock family. My running has definitely improved, especially seeing all the medals I've won. It is not just running, Lostock offers other activities too such as cycling, bootcamp and skiing. All I've had a go at which has just been brilliant. Lostock is my second family . I have entered the Machester marathon next year and an ultra. All this for someone who couldn't run . Everyone has made me feel very welcome in the club, I now consider myself to be a runner and would recommend anyone to give Lostock a try.

I joined Lostock AC to help improve my running and to motivate me to run more often. The club has surpassed my expectations. I am not from Bolton originally and did not have many friends in the area. I now feel part of an extended family. I have been encouraged and supported to run half marathons, marathons and an Ultra. I would never believe this was possible 3 years ago.
