Race report by Jo:
Blackpool came alive yesterday as hundreds of runners took to the seafront for the annual Blackpool Half Marathon. The weather was cool and overcast — near-perfect running conditions. The course, as always, showcased the very best of Blackpool’s iconic scenery. Runners began near the North Pier, with the first few miles heading south along the Promenade, passing landmarks like the Blackpool Tower and the Pleasure Beach. The course was largely flat and fast, though the slight headwind on the return leg added a small extra challenge.
Supporters lined parts of the route, creating pockets of fantastic atmosphere, especially near the piers and in front of some of the main hotels. The race had a friendly, community feel, with volunteers doing a brilliant job managing water stations and encouraging participants all the way to the finish line.

On the international stage, Paul Edwards represented the club at the Paris Marathon, completing the iconic race in 3:09:52. The Paris course is widely regarded as one of the most scenic marathon routes in the world, beginning on the famous Champs-Élysées and passing some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, including the Place de la ...
