Rachel S competed in the Race to the Castle in Lancaster. This is a beautiful race. Participants start to the north of Lancaster City Centre and run along the River Lune. It is a flat course until you reach the castle where you are welcomed by a very steep hill.
Runners predominantly walked up the steep hill but when they reach the top are welcomed by the beautiful view of the castle. Runners pass the castle and have a lovely down hill back towards the river and the finish line.

Lostockers were on tour at Parkrun this weekend: Katie Edern ran 31:33 at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh to finish third in her age category, while Rachel Stevens produced an excellent run at Oosterplas Parkrun in the Netherlands, finishing in 26:45 to place eighth overall, second female and first in her age category.
