Lostock AC held their annual awards ceremony last week at Spice Valley in Horwich. It is always a fantastic night and is the opportunity to celebrate the club members achievements.
The first awards were presented to the Fell team with Tony Marlow and Nikki winning the Midweek Championship. In the Main Championships Rob won
M40. Tony Marlow won M50 and Checkers M60. Josie won F50. The Lakes Championships were won by Tony Marlow and Josie.
Next to receive their awards were the Multi Sport events. Andy and Rachel H won the award for the Duathlon, Mary won the Triathlon Sprint, the Olympic Triathlon (standard Distance) was won by Nikki and David W and the Long-distance Triathlon was won by Paul L and Mel who both completed the Bolton Iron Man.
There were some excellent performances in the Cross Country section with Paul E, Jenna, Rachel H, Andy and Karen winning awards.
The Road/Trail section had a lot to celebrate! The Midweek Championship was won by Hazel and Greg . In the female section Hazel won FV40, Rachel won FV50, Sheila won FV65 and Gill FV70. In the males, the following members were commended Paul L (MV40), Dave P (MV45), Gareth (MV50), Andy (MV55), Brian (MV60) and Tony Maxwell (MV65).
There were extra celebrations for Chris who won best improved, Rachel H who won an award for competing across different disciplines and Jo won the award for going above and beyond by organising our new kit. A special thank you was also awarded to Kate and Scott for all their work on the Lostock 6.

Lostockers were on tour at Parkrun this weekend: Katie Edern ran 31:33 at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh to finish third in her age category, while Rachel Stevens produced an excellent run at Oosterplas Parkrun in the Netherlands, finishing in 26:45 to place eighth overall, second female and first in her age category.
On the international stage, Paul Edwards represented the club at the Paris Marathon, completing the iconic race in 3:09:52.
