Report by Janet:
On Saturday 26th October myself and Greg took part in a 10 mile off road Charity Bike Ride in Settle into raise funds for Sue Ryder. The charity supports families and their loved ones with end of life care. It’s a fantastic annual event and there’s no excuse not to do it as you can walk, run, cycle, electric bike it, or even bring your horse! The Settle loop is the most beautiful route and we were lucky to have glorious blue skys all the way. We left the town from the rugby club and climbed up and up to be greeted with far reaching views of Malham tarn and the Yorkshire peaks. Followed by some exhilarating, if a little squidgy, downhill all the way back. The Sue Ryder volunteers did an excellent job, the route is well sign posted, there are well stocked aid stations and there’s even a bowlful of chilli and a commemorative buff at the finish. Highly recommended!
