Parkrun Results 28 December 2025

There was a fantastic turn out of Lostock AC members at Parkrun on 28 December 2024.   At Bolton Parkrun, members joined 279 runners. TonyMaxwell was first in 26:37 (3rd in age category), followed by Sheila Garewal 30:30 (2nd in age category and 150th Parkrun),Gillian Caldwell 35:23 (1st in age category) and Stephen Davies 40:00. Media City Festive 5k

Jo competed in the Media City 5k festive run. This is the first festive run that has been arranged by Runthrough. The run followed the same route as the Chase the Sun Race series, consisting of 2 laps around Media City. Jo had an amazing run finishing the race in 22:29. She was the third Media City Festive 5k

Madbull Santa Dash

5 Lostockers joined 155 to complete the MadbullSanta Dash. Fancy dress is a requirement to take part in this race and participants did not disappoint. On the start line there were a plethora of Santa’s but also the Grinch, elves, reindeer, snowmen and even a Christmas cracker!   This is always a tough race starting Madbull Santa Dash

The Moors The Merrier 21 Fell Race

Race Report by Shutters: The Moors The Merrier 21 Fell Race – Saturday 14th December 9am This race is organised by CraggRunner who organises about 8 races around the Hebden Bridge/Todmorden area including The Lost Shepherd and Windy Hill. CancerCare Christmas Cracker 10k

Lostock AC member Jo took part in the CancerCare Christmas Cracker 10k. The event encourages families to adorn their finest Christmas outfits and run either 1 mile, 10k or a ½ marathon. The race also raised money for a local Cancer Charity.   Jo opted for the 10k. The race started at the side of CancerCare Christmas Cracker 10k

Cutacre and Lostock AC Santa Dash

Lostock AC collaborated with Cutacre Running club to support their Santa Dash. Cutacre Running Club founder Melonie Goodall arranged the race to raise money for local charities and the community.   The dash took place In Cutacre Park, the day following storm Darragh. It was a cold and windy day, but this did not damper Cutacre and Lostock AC Santa Dash

Joining Lostock AC has been one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I decided to give it a try mainly to loose weight and meet new people. It's really helped with my weight, mental health and output on life. I've been in the club over a year now. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and I love being part of the Lostock family. My running has definitely improved, especially seeing all the medals I've won. It is not just running, Lostock offers other activities too such as cycling, bootcamp and skiing. All I've had a go at which has just been brilliant. Lostock is my second family . I have entered the Machester marathon next year and an ultra. All this for someone who couldn't run . Everyone has made me feel very welcome in the club, I now consider myself to be a runner and would recommend anyone to give Lostock a try.

I joined Lostock AC to help improve my running and to motivate me to run more often. The club has surpassed my expectations. I am not from Bolton originally and did not have many friends in the area. I now feel part of an extended family. I have been encouraged and supported to run half marathons, marathons and an Ultra. I would never believe this was possible 3 years ago.
