Lostock members joined a further 1,200 Boltonians, taking part in the Bolton Community 10k. This was a fantastic local race starting at the Tough Sheet’s arena, heading along Chorley New Road towards Bolton, turning around at Heatonand heading back. This was an undulating course enjoying the rise and fall of the road.
Chris was the first member back in an amazing 45:58, followed by Rachel H in 49:00 who was 2nd in age category. David G was next 49:36 followed by Jo (51:15) who was suffering with an ankle injury.
Other results include Tony 51:18, Mike 51:29, Rachel S 53:30, Lurdes 58:52, Sheila 59:34 and Lynda 1:00:36.

Lostock AC members saw out 2025 and welcomed in 2026 in characteristically energetic fashion, tackling challenging fell races, Parkruns and milestone celebrations across the country. Celebrations continued on 3 January at Clarence parkrun, where Janet, Bev, Brian and Greg all completed their 50th Parkruns, with the occasion made even more special as it coincided with Bev’s birthday. New Year’s Day saw Lostock members swap the fells for parks as they began 2026 in running shoes. At Haigh Woodland Parkrun, Antony Sutton led the club home in 26:48, followed by Matt W (29:44), Katie (30:13), Carol (30:40) and Ian B (31:22).
