6 Lostock AC members completed the Blackleach 5 miles Trail Race. The race is organised by Quays Running club and involving 2 laps around Blackleach Country Park with beautiful views of the lake.
Tony Maxwell was the first to finish in an epic 40:33, winning his age category. Janet Rhodes followed in 41:12, Rachel Hancock in 41:29, Sally McCoy in 42:42, Stephen Hancock in 48:55 and Mark Checkley in 49:43.
Race report by Rachel H: The event is held at the leisure centre of a caravan park so parking wasn’t an issue, I was in the 8:35 wave which went off slightly behind schedule but I enjoyed the none rushed atmosphere, helped to settle race day nerves.
