Janet completed the Anglezarke Amble. This is an epic event organised by West Lancashire Long Distance Walking Association, the event is open to both runners and walkers. The route taken by Janet covered 16.5 miles and over 2,500ft of elevation gain. The event starts close to Rivington Tea Rooms and participants summit Rivington Pike, Brown Hill and Winter Hill, then travel to Belmont, turning left up to Kitchen Croft Plantation. It is then another left turn toward White Coppice and then participants follow along the Anglezarke Reservoir back to the beginning.
Janet had a fantastic run, completing the amble in 3 hours 19 minutes.
