Report by Jon:
What a fabulous bank holiday weekend at Glamis Castle, Scotland for the final leg of the Fur Nations international Canicross event
After 3 days of brilliant racing on fabulous courses, it was England that eventually took the trophy, with Scotland second and Wales third.
The sport was the real winner though. The atmosphere was sporting and inspiring throughout. I loved every moment, generally ran well and learnt loads.
It was fab to see the young kids getting involved. Some are ridiculously quick and surely are future champions in the making.
Of course, Huxley had to lower the tone by ripping down the door blind in the camping pod that I was staying in. I had to pay for a full replacement blind, but that was never going to be more than a minor blip on a great trip.
Can’t wait for next year.
