Lostockers were out in force at the club’s annual race, the Lostock 6. This is always a popular race around Lostock starting at the old Barnstormers pub, the race completes a loop around Lostock. This is a fast race with clubs from all over the Northwest competing. The first Lostocker to cross the finish line was Dave Parry in an impressive 40:52. He was followed by Hazel Hatfield, who was the 14th female to cross the finish line in an epic 44:27. Tim Lippett followed in 44:07, with Gareth Pratt hot on his heels finishing in 44:34.

 

There was a close battle for the next place with Lostockersfinishing in quick succession. Chris Baker finished in 45:55, followed by Melanie Crompton in 45:59 (Crompton was the 20th female and 2 in her age category), Johanna McManus 46:02 (21st female), David Gregson 46:02 and Louise Read 46:10 (22nd female).

 

Natalie Godfrey finished in 47:07 securing 3rd in age category. The other results include Brian Halton 48:12, Nikki Hamerton48:11 (2nd in age category), Heather Soden 49:05, Rachel Hancock 49:12, Tony Maxwell 49:22, Janet Rhodes 50:10, Matt Allen-Turner 53:45, Rachel Stevens 53:56, Ian Burns 56:18, Sheila Garewal 58:10 and Stephen Hancock 1:01:15.

Parkrun Results 11 April 2026

Lostockers were on tour at Parkrun this weekend: Katie Edern ran 31:33 at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh to finish third in her age category, while Rachel Stevens produced an excellent run at Oosterplas Parkrun in the Netherlands, finishing in 26:45 to place eighth overall, second female and first in her age category.

Joining Lostock AC has been one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I decided to give it a try mainly to loose weight and meet new people. It's really helped with my weight, mental health and output on life. I've been in the club over a year now. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and I love being part of the Lostock family. My running has definitely improved, especially seeing all the medals I've won. It is not just running, Lostock offers other activities too such as cycling, bootcamp and skiing. All I've had a go at which has just been brilliant. Lostock is my second family . I have entered the Machester marathon next year and an ultra. All this for someone who couldn't run . Everyone has made me feel very welcome in the club, I now consider myself to be a runner and would recommend anyone to give Lostock a try.

I joined Lostock AC to help improve my running and to motivate me to run more often. The club has surpassed my expectations. I am not from Bolton originally and did not have many friends in the area. I now feel part of an extended family. I have been encouraged and supported to run half marathons, marathons and an Ultra. I would never believe this was possible 3 years ago.
