Race report by Paul:
Chester Marathon with Phil.
Unfortunately I didnt manage to find phil before the race, and I knew i wasn’t going to see him on course. A bit to fast for me.
Training was going well and then it wasn’t, I was 50/50 all week if I was going to do it but started to feel well enough to get round.
Setting off at 9am from the race course I felt good and was motoring on, a good average pace at 8.30 and I felt good. I dont remember so many slight Inclines though
I really wanted to get back to sub 4 and at one point I thought it was on. Unfortunately that wasnt to be, mile 16 I fell apart abit (actually alot). My hip flex hurt bad, then my right started hurting. Could be many reasons why.
Im happy I got round, manged to finally get hold of phil when I finished. As always Philip Holland had a great run finishing in 3.52.
I was 4.18 today
Chester is my old PB course and I swear one day im beating it. If you’re still reading i also had a stomach issue and bleeding nipples but I will save those stories for club run 😅

Race report by Jo M: Today I headed to Lancaster with the intention of running the half marathon, but after not fuelling particularly well and getting very little sleep following a trip to see SIX, I decided the 10K was the better option.
