Lostock AC members competed in the Bolton Night Run, the Friday prior to the main event. Participants could compete in either a 5k or 10k. The race routes started in Bolton Town Centre, went out to Queens Park and back to the finish line.
On the 10k, Paul Edwards had a fantastic run and was the 4thperson to finish the race in 38:38, he was also 1st in age category. David Gregson also had an amazing run finishing in51:05.
Greg Kilshaw was the first Lostocker home in the 5k in 21:31, just one second behind was Hazel Hatfield in 21:32 who was 1st in her age category. Warming up for the Ironman on Sunday, Lacey completed the race in 24:03. Other results include Jo McManus 24:57 (2nd in age her category), Rachel Stevens 26:38, Gillian Caldwell 31:25 (2nd in age category)and Ellie Fortune 36:58.
