The Lostock AC club championships are in full swing this week with another midweek race. The road runners competed in the Haigh Hall 4 mile Trail race organised by Wigan Pheonix. This race is also the 5th race of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix.
Lostockers lined up on the start line with 300 other runners. This is a fast 4 mile race consisting of 2 loops, around the grounds of Haigh. Starting in front of the hall, participants run towards Haigh Upper Plantations and then turning left, out of the park and alone New Road. It is then another left turn along school lane and then a descent back towards the hall. This is a very quick finish and there is always sprint finish.
The first Lostock member to finish in an epic 28:28 was David P, he was shortly followed by Hazel, who was the 7th female and first in age category, completing the race in an impressive 28:55.
