The Lostock AC club championships are in full swing this week with another midweek race. The road runners competed in the Haigh Hall 4 mile Trail race organised by Wigan Pheonix. This race is also the 5th race of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix.
Lostockers lined up on the start line with 300 other runners. This is a fast 4 mile race consisting of 2 loops, around the grounds of Haigh. Starting in front of the hall, participants run towards Haigh Upper Plantations and then turning left, out of the park and alone New Road. It is then another left turn along school lane and then a descent back towards the hall. This is a very quick finish and there is always sprint finish.
The first Lostock member to finish in an epic 28:28 was David P, he was shortly followed by Hazel, who was the 7th female and first in age category, completing the race in an impressive 28:55.
Other results include: Greg 30:16, Chris 30:18, Andy 30:30, Brian 31:26, Nikki 31:34 (3rd in her age category), Paul 31:39, Louise 31:44, Mike 32:13, Jo 33:38, Bev 35:10, Rachel S 35:28, Lynda 38:03, Karen 38:53 and finally Gill who has a fantastic run finishing in 43:48 and securing first in age category.

Lostockers were on tour at Parkrun this weekend: Katie Edern ran 31:33 at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh to finish third in her age category, while Rachel Stevens produced an excellent run at Oosterplas Parkrun in the Netherlands, finishing in 26:45 to place eighth overall, second female and first in her age category.
On the international stage, Paul Edwards represented the club at the Paris Marathon, completing the iconic race in 3:09:52.
