Race report by Paul:
Wilmslow half for me this morning, half marathon no 3 for this year. 1.55 1762/3499
Well organised and some lovely country roads! It all started abit quick with a massive start of 10k and half runners combined together, unfortunately for me that would only really mean one thing I would set off far too fast for my current fitness.
Settling into miles 6 averaging 7.50 per mile i knew i really needed to slow down. By mile 9 I was really starting to feel it and Paul who I was running with was limping with an injury to his hamstring and he pulled up, so I gave him a good fisting down the back of his leg, and we got going again together. Having little walking breaks and keeping each other going.
I had a good run just a bit of pace management wouldn’t have gone a miss, but what’s a run with me unless something goes wrong 🤣 It was great run and definitely a run in would do again.Â
