On Saturday Paul Edwards embarked on an epic challenge, completing the Ultra Loop in Wythenshawe. Participants have 6 hours to run around the track and complete as many laps as possible within the time. Paul had a fantastic run, achieving 9th place, after covering 150 laps of the track equalling 62k or 38.57miles.
Paul has described this as the ‘hardest running event’ he has ever done as he struggled with cramp following 28 miles and had to have some walking breaks. Although the race was repetitive, the other runners supported each other and provided encouragement.

On the international stage, Paul Edwards represented the club at the Paris Marathon, completing the iconic race in 3:09:52.
