Road runners, Rachel S and Stephen headed to Knutsford to take part in the Tatton Park Midweek 10k. This is a beautiful run around the park, starting at the north end of the park, near the Tatton Park Mansion. The race mostly follows the main path through the park, with some minor diversions to increase the distance to 10k. Participants are rewarded with beautiful views of the parks and the parks deer population. There was also the unusual obstacle of sheep, that felt it appropriate to cross the path in front of the runners as they sprinted towards the finish line.
This is an undulating race with an elevation gain of 197ft. It was a warm and stuffy evening, as a result many runners did not race but enjoyed the route. Rachel was the first across the finish line in 58:38, followed by Stephen in 1:09:14.

Race report by Jo: Our 6th Parkrun Championships fixture took us to our very own Haigh Hall, where 28 Lostockers raced around thick mud that felt more like January than June. Haigh being Haigh, the route gave us its usual mix of hills, more hills, and that one section where you’re convinced the ground is ... Parkrun Championship Haigh Hall
Race report by Josie: On Saturday, I travelled to the beautiful village of Buttermere in the Western Lake District to run The Buttermere Sailbeck Fell Race. A tough 15km (9.3mi)/ 1,315m (4314ft) mountain horseshoe over two distinct ridgelines. Although a relatively short fell race (for me), a lot of elevation is packed into the distance ...
