Race report by Paul:
Southport Half Race Report, so sorry its late had one of those days.
On a very cold Sunday morning it was off to southport to support Kev on his running comeback.
Kev has been injured for just over 18 months with a damaged ACL and metatarsal but has a London Marathon place with MS Trust along with Ironman Bolton and Ironman Wales after his wife was diagnosed with MS last year. Kev is working hard to recover and complete a year of endurance to raise money for such a great cause and I will continue to support him throughout each event.
Kev has helped me train for many events so it was my turn to repay the favour, with a plan to run a mile and a walk 100 yards recovery we set off at 9am, a flat 2 loop course was perfect for rebuilding.
6 miles in the heavens opened and we were treated to a hail storm, really wished I had opted to wear a hat as it bounced off my ears. Kev’s knee started to show signs of strain around mile 10 so we opted to just take it easy for the last 3 miles. Finishing in 2 hours 23 minutes, it was a start to Kev’s endurance comeback i was honoured to be part of.

Race report by Steve: Sunday morning didn’t have the familiar Lancashire chill we’re used but at last it was mild! The atmosphere around the school car park was comfortably warm from the off. The Ian Hesketh Memorial Duathlon — a low-key, friendly affair run by Burnden Roadrunners for the second time — is exactly the ... Ian Hesketh Memorial Duathlon Race
Race report by Jo: When I signed up for this race back in September, I definitely wasn’t expecting to be running in tropical heat in Edinburgh. The day kicked off early with a 5:45am park‑and‑ride bus into the city. The race started at 8am on Potterrow outside the University of Edinburgh’s McEwan Hall. After the ... Edinburgh 1/2 marathon
