Lostockers headed to Ramsbottom to take part in the Ramsbottom Mile, for the later instalment of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix. This is a fantastic event, taking place in Nuttall Park in which runners run in different waves and try to run the fastest mile they can achieve.
As participants run just 1 mile it is a very fast event with runners putting their all into the race to achieve their fastest mile. Lostock AC members did not disappoint! Greg Kilshaw was the first Lostock AC member to finish in an epic 6:20, he was closely followed by Chris Baker in 6:46. Jo McManus was the first Lostock female in an impressive 6:58, securing third in her age category. There were other fantastic results including Andy Laycock in 7:00, Rachel Hancock in 7:23, Tony Maxwell in 7:27, Rachel Stevens in 7:48, Karen Taylor in 8:32, Stephen Hancock in 8:36, Mark Checkley in 8:58, Sheila Garewal in 9:15 and Ellie Fortune in 10:10.
