Sunday saw the next instalment of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix race service. 6 members headed to Leigh to take part in the Pennington Flash 5 Mile Trail Race organised by local club Leigh Harriers. It was perfect weather for the race with the rain staying away.
The race started on the club’s running track before, heading to Pennington Flash. Runners covered the many undulating paths of the Flash before heading back to the club for a very speedy finish on the track.
The first Lostock AC member across the finish line was Gareth in a fantastic 38:42, followed by Tony in 41:44, securing third in his age category and Chris in 43:14. Rachel S was the first Lostock lady in 47:46, shortly followed by Karen in 51:33 and Gill, who was third in her age category 53:56.
