On Saturday Lostock AC descended on Haigh Woodland Parkrun for a club takeover.
The popular 5k event saw Lostock members fill every volunteer role, from timekeeping and barcode scanning to marshalling and tail walking, ensuring the morning ran seamlessly. As it was the 22nd, the club embraced the Parkrun tradition of wearing a tutu (two-two), adorning green tutus to match the club colours.
The club’s cheers echoed through the scenic woodland course, helping regular parkrunners and first-timers alike tackle the challenging trails. The club also promoted the upcoming Couch to 5k and 5k improvers course at the event with lots of cakes that were greatly appreciated by runners when they crossed the finish line.
Afterward, runners gathered for brunch at the Haigh Woodland Courtyard Café, turning the morning into a social celebration of running and community.
There was a fantastic turnout of Lostockers out of a super strong & competitive field of 147 take on the next race in the road/trail champs, the Pennington Flash 5 mile trail race.
