Race report by Paul:
Manchester 2025 done. 4.31
Massive well done to Philip Holland, Dave Parry and Melonie Goodall too you all did amazing especially in the heat
Started off felling pretty good but knew it would be a long hard slog, it was hot sunny literally blasting on your head especially when there’s no hair to protect it 😆. I had only trained to 17 miles and knew it wasn’t enough but I should get round if I’m not silly and fuel correctly.
Saw Gareth and claire at the start with zippy and that looped back to the 3.5 mile point. Just little smiles make such a difference. Dave was at mile 22 and had the pleasure of seeing some friends from Burnden.
Stick to the plan that all i kept saying, stay with the 4 hour pacer upto half way then regroup and run walk to get to the finish, just finish and I did I’m so chuffed with myself. Been a long road back to some sort of fitness.
There were alot of collapsed runners today, after mile 15 it felt like there were 3 a mile 2 hooked upto a defib- puts a lump in your throat and I hope they’re OK.
Massive thanks to Sarah Lacey when 2 weeks ago I sprung it on her I don’t think I will be in a state to drive myself so she drove me and waited around Manchester for the best part of 6 hours on her own. I’m abit spoilt for sure

Race report by Gareth: The Lap! They call it “the beautiful ultra” and it absolutely does not disappoint. 47 miles, 8,800ft of elevation on a glorious sunny day in the Lake District, what’s not to like? The race is a pretty new one, first held in 2019, is a clockwise lap of Windermere (they do ... The Lap!
Race report by Jon: A 2hr drive down to the England leg of the Fur Nations international event at Shipley Country Park this morning rewarded us with a new 5k canicross PB of 25:56. That was enough to place us 5th in the 2 dog category, so we earned really good England points too. Even ... Fur Nations International Event
