Checkers competed in the Strange Struggle Fell Race, organised by Fat Boys Running club. This is a fun and friendly 9.9km fell race on a beautiful route, in Hathersage, west of Sheffield. Fell Captain Josie had a busy weekend of racing. On Saturday she completed the Three Shires Fell Race. This is a tough race, starting in Ambleside, covering 20k (12.4 miles) and 4000ft elevation gain. Greenhalgh completed the gruelling race in 3:44:18. Lostock AC members headed to Bury to compete in the Bury 10k for the latest instalment of the Road Runners Championship. 7 Lostockers lined up with over 1,000 runners in the rain to complete the 10k route.
