Not happy with just running Cross Country on Saturday Andy headed back to Heaton Park on Sunda with Gareth and Jo to complete the Heaton Park races series. This was the final race of 2023 in the club road championship.
It was a cold and wet day and many runners had embraced the Christmas spirit dressing as Santa and reindeers.
Jo completed the 5k and had an outstanding run. She was the second female to cross the finish line in an epic 23:31 and was first in her age category.
Gareth and Andy joined 298 runners at the start line of the 10k. Gareth had a fantastic race and won his age category, in 48:34, despite this being his slowest 10k of 2023. He was followed by Andy who completed the race in an impressive 50:58 securing second in his age category.

Race report by Katie: Today I completed the Windermere Marathon, my first one. It was a relatively small and very friendly reincarnation of the Brathay Trust route, organised by the Great Run team for the first time in 2025. A total of 444 runners completed the hilly and super scenic route around the majority of ... Windermere Marathon
