Chair’s Trail Race

Event date: Wednesday 15th April 2026

Event start time: 7:00 pm

Joins us on 15 April 2026 for the annual Chair’s Trial Race.

Arrive at Ian’s Farm on Diccinson Lane, West Houghton at 6.30pm for a 7pm start.

This event is free to Lostock AC members.

If you are a non-member and would like to get involved, please email info@lostock-ac.co.uk

The route will start/finish on Code Lane across road from Ian Farm and please see attached the maps. Should be about 5 miles

We will need 7 marshals at 8 checkpoints to help with this event if you can help please contact us.

Presentation and prizes for the race at Ian Farm.

The is event is free for Lostock AC. Members but we are asking members to give £2 (or a donation) that will be donated to prostate cancer.

There will be no cost for the food but there will be a bar on which you can purchase tea, coffee, beer, wine and cordial.

please let us know if you are going for catering numbers for food.

Worsley Woods Parkrun Championship

The October instalment of the Lostock AC Parkrun Championships took place at Worsley Woods Parkrun, with an impressive 22 Lostockers turning out for the 5k event. Set amongst the picturesque woodland and trails of Worsley, the course provides a mixture of paths, woodland sections and undulating terrain, making it a popular challenge for local runners.  ... Joining Lostock AC has been one of the best things that's ever happened to me. I decided to give it a try mainly to loose weight and meet new people. It's really helped with my weight, mental health and output on life. I've been in the club over a year now. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and I love being part of the Lostock family. My running has definitely improved, especially seeing all the medals I've won. It is not just running, Lostock offers other activities too such as cycling, bootcamp and skiing. All I've had a go at which has just been brilliant. Lostock is my second family . I have entered the Machester marathon next year and an ultra. All this for someone who couldn't run . Everyone has made me feel very welcome in the club, I now consider myself to be a runner and would recommend anyone to give Lostock a try.

I joined Lostock AC to help improve my running and to motivate me to run more often. The club has surpassed my expectations. I am not from Bolton originally and did not have many friends in the area. I now feel part of an extended family. I have been encouraged and supported to run half marathons, marathons and an Ultra. I would never believe this was possible 3 years ago.
