Race report by Checkers:
Edenfield today. Always a must do when it falls on my birthday. This a good little fell race not very far from home.just north of Bury. Weather a bit blustery with a threat if a shower, a tad cooler. Starts and finishes at the cricket ground. Started near the front so spent the uphill part going backwards. Even though I was feeling good no aches from yesterday. I had good energy running well going past Waughs Well then up Whittle Hill. Now the best bit the brilliant looong descent. I can really run this😄 passing several runners and nearly catching others before the gruelling sting in the tail straight up 200ft scrambling up on all fours. My legs were aching now😮. However I didn’t tire and was soon away chasing the runners Infront. The trouble was they went faster too. Had a scare coming into the finish. Some one shouted a name out. So I pegged it round the cricket pitch uphill😮 I wasn’t going to lose a place now. Need not have worried. No body there😄. I think I was faster than last year😄

Race report by Steve: Sunday morning didn’t have the familiar Lancashire chill we’re used but at last it was mild! The atmosphere around the school car park was comfortably warm from the off. The Ian Hesketh Memorial Duathlon — a low-key, friendly affair run by Burnden Roadrunners for the second time — is exactly the ... Ian Hesketh Memorial Duathlon Race
Race report by Jo: When I signed up for this race back in September, I definitely wasn’t expecting to be running in tropical heat in Edinburgh. The day kicked off early with a 5:45am park‑and‑ride bus into the city. The race started at 8am on Potterrow outside the University of Edinburgh’s McEwan Hall. After the ... Edinburgh 1/2 marathon
