Saturday saw the final race of the cross country season. In the male race Paul Edwards was the first Lostocker home, completing the muddy laps oh Heaton Park in an impressive 44:35. The next to finish the 10k was James Jackson in 50:38, followed by Mark Shuttleworth in 52:58, Andy Laycock in 56:29 and Greg Kilshaw in 1:00:55.
The ladies race is slightly shorter course, covering 5.5 miles. Heather Soden was the first across the finish line in an awesome 51:53 ahead of Gill Caldwell in 1:04:11. Both Soden and Caldwell had a fantastic season both securing second in the age categories in this race and for the season.
Checkers headed to Cracoe, north of Skipton, to compete in the Cracoe (BOFRA) Fell Race. This is a short but tough race covering 2.5miles of undulating fells with an elevation gain of 900ft.
