I have been running for approx. 17 years, initially running informally with friends building up to the odd 5k/10k road race but then was introduced to trail and fell running which really caught my imagination. A couple of Lostock members took me under their wing taking me running up Winter Hill on a Sunday morning and to my 1st proper fell race which I will never forget. I really enjoy the informal, no frills, easy going attitude of the fell community but also enjoy a bit of healthy competition, midpack, at local fell races. Joining Lostock AC was a natural progression as I enjoyed running with members up Winter Hill and beyond and I have been a member for 15 years.
Fell running is what I do, however I do also run a few club road race events and have in the past competed in a few Sprint Triathlons.
My best achievement todate was finishing the Old County Tops Fell Race back in 2019.
I have been the Mens Fell Captain for the past 6 years and work closely with the Ladies Fell Captain to coordinate the club Fell activities.
