Not content with just racing on Wednesday, 7 Lostock members who returned to Chorley on Sunday to take part in the Chorley 10k. They were joined by fellow member Tommy Smith.
The race started in Chorley town centre and members enjoyed a familiar run around Astley Park. This again was 2 loops finishing on Market Street. When crossing the finish line finishers were presented with their medals from the Mayor of Chorley. It was a surprisingly hot day, and this made it a tough race. Many runners found it difficult to maintain a fast pace for the second half of the race, but it was a refreshing change to be running in the sunshine.
Tommy Smith was the first home in an impressive 43:25, followed by Dave 44:16, Chris 48:34, Tony 53:43, Mike 55:11, Rachel S 57:43, Sheila 1:01:51 who was first in her age category and Gillian who had recovered from her fall on Wednesday finished in 1:06:57.
