The Lostock AC annual Trail race took place on Wednesday 24 April 2024. This is a fun race for Lostock members only.
The race covers 5 miles, starting at Dicconson Lane, Westhoughton. The race heads along Dodd Lane into Borsdane Wood. Participants complete a loop and then head back in the same direction.
James was the first Lostocker to cross the finish line in an impressive 43:04, followed by Dave Wilkes 43:06, Evan 43:14 and David P in 43:49.
Hazel was the first female home in an epic 46:12. The next female to finish was Nikki in 47:29 and third was Josie in 47:39.

There was some confusion on the course with members taking a wrong turn. However, Jo and Rachel S certainly put the ‘Lost’ in Lostock finding themselves in a housing estate and relying on Google Maps to get them back on course finishing in 75:23.
Checkers headed to Cracoe, north of Skipton, to compete in the Cracoe (BOFRA) Fell Race. This is a short but tough race covering 2.5miles of undulating fells with an elevation gain of 900ft.
