Wednesday night saw the annual Chair’s Fell Race. This is a race for club members that commences at Rivington Hall Barn and traverses the fells of Rivington,
The race covers 5 miles and an elevation gain of over 100ft. The race requires runners to run to the top of the Pike and also to the top of the Mast.
It was a difficult run and very wet underfoot. Many runners found the mud and bogs.
The first Lostocker to cross the finish line was Josie Greenhalgh in an impressive 52.22. She was followed by first male Andy Laycock in an awesome 53.37, shortly by Mark Shuttleworth in 53.55 and Brian Halton in 55.47. The next female to finish was Nikki Hamerton 56.34 and third was Rachel Hancock in 1.03.26.
Other results include Ian Johnson 57.20, Gareth Pratt 1.04.30, Matt Withers 1.06.06, David Wilcock 1.07.20, Mark Checkley 1.09.25, Chirs Baker 1.10.32, Tony Maxwell 1.10.51, Karen Taylor 1.12.03, Amanda Smith 1.12.13 and Chris Taylor 1.12.14.
