The weekend saw the next instalment of the Central Lancashire Grand Prix, the Blackleach 5 mile Trail Race. The race is organised by Quays Running club and the course completes 2 loops around Blackleach Country Park. It is a beautiful route, Lostockers’ favourite part of the route was an out and back section, giving participants the opportunity to cheer on fellow team members.
Lostock superstar, Janet Rhodes was the first across the finish line in an amazing 36:09, securing 3rd female and first in her age category. Next across the line was Gaz Foulkes in an epic 37:14, followed by Greg Kilshaw in 39:40 and Hazel Hatfield in 40:07.
