Despite going on holiday, Lostock AC members Rachel and Ste, still found time to race.
They completed the Benidorm 10k. The race starts at 5pm in the evening and runners enjoy the beautiful views of Benidorm, starting with running through the town and then along the costal path.
The final push to the finish was along a steady incline but runners received lots of support for holiday makers in the local pubs.
Rachel was the first to cross the finish line in 54:05, followed by Ste in 1.06.40.
Checkers competed in the Strange Struggle Fell Race, organised by Fat Boys Running club. This is a fun and friendly 9.9km fell race on a beautiful route, in Hathersage, west of Sheffield. Fell Captain Josie had a busy weekend of racing. On Saturday she completed the Three Shires Fell Race. This is a tough race, starting in Ambleside, covering 20k (12.4 miles) and 4000ft elevation gain. Greenhalgh completed the gruelling race in 3:44:18.
