Race Report by Gareth:
13 Lostockers took part in the 3rd race on the midweek champs last night, Astley Park race 2.
I won’t bore everyone with the route description again as it’s the same race every month for 3 months lol.
Dave Parry stormed home to be first back for team green closely followed by Janet who backed up Sunday’s long Lakeland 50 recce with another fantastic age category win & 5th female overall! Hot on her heels was David Wilkes in his first attempt on the course with a very creditable 3rd place MV60.
Philip ran another great race despite struggling with his breathing towards the end & Johanna improved her time from the first race by a second to also finish 3rd in a very competitive age category & was also 9th female.
Other improvers from the first race were Chris, Heather and myself and Mike was another one to make his first attempt in this years series.
Strong performances in a similar time from Katie, Terri & Lynda whilst Rachel Stevens was a proper trooper competing despite clearly suffering with a bad cold/chest infection.
Big shout outs to Luke & Abi for pb’s in the junior race beforehand!
Well done everyone, next stop on the midweek champs is Haigh 4 mile race next Wednesday 💚🖤.

Race report by Steve: Sunday morning didn’t have the familiar Lancashire chill we’re used but at last it was mild! The atmosphere around the school car park was comfortably warm from the off. The Ian Hesketh Memorial Duathlon — a low-key, friendly affair run by Burnden Roadrunners for the second time — is exactly the ... Ian Hesketh Memorial Duathlon Race
Race report by Jo: When I signed up for this race back in September, I definitely wasn’t expecting to be running in tropical heat in Edinburgh. The day kicked off early with a 5:45am park‑and‑ride bus into the city. The race started at 8am on Potterrow outside the University of Edinburgh’s McEwan Hall. After the ... Edinburgh 1/2 marathon
