Race report by Hazel:
First attempt at a race report 😬
Last night saw a roaring turn out of 30 Lostockers (complete with a smiley support crew) who all took part in the final race of the Astley trail race series.
A just shy of 4 miles race consisting of a mix of trails, woodland path and a deceivingly lung burning hill up to the gates then back again.
Too many people to mention individually, first Lostocker home was Paul E, finishing in an epic 25.19. Paul then caught his breath and cheered in the 27 minute crew which looked very close with Andy K, John, Tony, Janet, Gaz & Philip Holland storming in within seconds of each other.
Greg Kilshaw , myself and Johanna McManus then followed suit, Jo made me chuckle as she is finding the pram runs have given her a speedy edge, all paying off!
All ran well and happily walked to Rileys tap room and wine bar for some well needed refreshments, lovely pizza with very funny names that made us all smile.
A top evening and nice way to end the series.
Special mentions to:
Debbie Green who finished with little Leo, adorable!
Shiela who still ran despite not feeling great and to Nikki and Jo who both won their age cats across the series.
Leo, Luke and Abby who all ran the juniors race, I will never tire of watching that race finish, such determination on those little faces.

Race report by Jo W: Matt and I spent a few days in the Forest of Dean so decided to sign up for the Wye Valley Tunnel run. There was a marathon, half (which Matt did) and I did the 10k. They get the rare permission to run through an abandoned railway tunnel! There were ... Wye Valley Tunnel Run
