2024 Lostock 6 Results and Race Report

A big thank you to everyone who entered, ran, marshalled, cheered, photographed and smiled their way around our Lostock 6, …6miles of smiles on Sunday!
Our signs and course marshals were up and active at crispfirst light followed by the re-hydration marshals, car parkand course marshals. A special mention to club member and un–sung hero Clive who from 6am moved a 10m stretch of water near the finish by bucket…again.
After close to a month of stormy wet weather we were blessed with glorious sunshine and perfect running conditions.
A full field of all abilities made their way to the registration area and enthusiastically joined in with the banging “Mel the Motivator” warm up session.
The maximum 500 entrants were reached earlier in the month, on the day there was 441 registered chip finishers.
First male runner was Jonothan Kay from Bolton United Harriers 30:34-gun time.
Second male runner was Tommy Harrison 32:16 Bolton United Harriers and third male runner was Daniel Bird 32:21 Swinton Running Club.
First female runner was Sophie Wood from Sale Harrierswho set a new course record of 33:17-Gun time

Second female runner was Carla Davies from Preston Harriers 34:50 and third female runner was Josephine Maley Jones from Astley and Tyldesley Road Runners 40:45.
First male team was Bolton United Harriers.
First female team was Burnden Road Runners.
Prize for the largest group online entry went to Burnden Road Runners.
The winner for most senior finisher category V75 was Francis Mackin of Burnden Road Runners, who completed the race in an outstanding 51:15, well done Francis.
