Race report by Andy K:
This morning I did the Mossley 10k. A beautiful, scenic, hilly-bastard of a route around the Tameside town.
The course started and finished on the pitch of Seel Park, home of Mossley AFC. The first third of the course was a rapid descent down the roads of Mossley. With no full road closures in place there were plenty of friendly marshalls keeping traffic back.
The rest of the course was a steady 125m climb up the many hills back to the start with plenty of amazing views and locals cheering us all on.
After a parkrun PB the day before and then working a night shift with 2 hours sleep I knew I wouldn’t be racing this one but more than happy with finishing 111th out of a field of 402 with a time of 48.55
