This is a 7 ½ mile clockwise circuit of the Carsington Water reservoir. The race is mainly on cycle tracks and is described as ‘flat in places’ however the race includes undulating sections and these see participants reach an elevation gain of 125meter.
The weather was not ideal for racing, the hot weather made it a very humid and difficult run.
Despite this, Gill had an amazing race. She finished in an impressive 1:26:24, winning her age category.
