6 Lostockers took part in the 20 mile village link challenge organised by the Sunnywood Project. The route was actually 22 miles with an elevation gain of 2,600ft. Participants started at Burrs Country Park, travelling to Ramsbottom, Peel Tower, Redisher Wood, Tottington and back to the beginning. Sally McCoy, Janet Rhodes and Beverly Atherton McKenna ran the challenging event and Rachel Hancock, Ste Hancock and Kathryn Orrell hiked the course. It was a fantastic event despite the mud!
There was also a strong Lostock AC turnout at the Warrington Festival of Running, with members taking on both the half marathon and 10K. It was an international outing for two Lostockers as Gill and Chris headed to Denmark to take part in the World Athletics Road Running Championship taking place in Copenhagen.
