The Horwich Festival took place at Rivington on Monday 3 June 2024. This is a 5k route through Rivington starting at the top barn. The race heads along Royton Lane with a steep climb at Royton Road, the remainder of the race is down hill back to the barn.
Lostock AC was represented by Ian Johnson who completed the race in 33:22, securing 1st in his age category and Gaz Foulkes in 33:55 who also won his age category.
Mike completed the Dr Ron Hyde 7 Mile Road Race in Hyde. The race takes runners in and around the city of Hyde. Mike had a great race and finished in 1:00:59.
Andy, Sally, Nikki and Mary took part in the Walsh Two Lads Fell Race. The race commences at the Bridge Inn on Church Street, Horwich and as the name suggests, ascends through Rivington and over Two Lads, before returning to the pub.
