6 Lostockers took part in the 20 mile village link challenge organised by the Sunnywood Project. The route was actually 22 miles with an elevation gain of 2,600ft. Participants started at Burrs Country Park, travelling to Ramsbottom, Peel Tower, Redisher Wood, Tottington and back to the beginning. Sally McCoy, Janet Rhodes and Beverly Atherton McKenna ran the challenging event and Rachel Hancock, Ste Hancock and Kathryn Orrell hiked the course. It was a fantastic event despite the mud!
Jo McManus headed to Preston to take part in the rearranged Central Lancashire New Year Half Marathon. This is a lovely half organised by Fylde Coast Runners, taking in scenery around Inskip and Catford. McManus had a fantastic race, finishing as 12th female in 1:47:16 and winning her age category.
